Every day, billions of people come to Facebook to connect with their friends and family. What may be surprising is that people can book haircut appointments, get quotes from contractors, and buy movie tickets, right on Facebook as well. For these transactions to work seamlessly, Facebook needed to build a platform that enables developers to build simple, native workflows that serves customers as well as businesses. In 2016, I joined the Instant Workflows team to tackle this challenge.
